​في إطار النشاط العلمي والبحثي لقسم الأحياء بكلية العلوم (شطر الطلاب)، أقام قسم الأحياء ندوة علمية (سيمنار علمي) بعنوان:

Plant Identification and Characterization Form: A Comprehensive Guide for Ethnobotanical, Phytochemical, and Biological Studies

قدّمها سعادة الدكتور/ الحامدي بنضيف - الأستاذ في قسم الأحياء - وذلك صباح يوم الا​ثنين 14 ربيع ثاني 1447هـ – 6 أكتوبر 2025م - الساعة 8:25 صباحاً في قاعة سمينارات القسم شطر الطلاب.

وقد تناولت الندوة العلمية:

The seminar titled “Plant Identification and Characterization Form: A Comprehensive Guide for Ethnobotanical, Phytochemical, and Biological Studies" by Dr. Hamdi Bendif provides an in-depth exploration of methodologies used in the accurate identification and systematic characterization of plant species. It emphasizes the importance of integrating ethnobotanical knowledge with phytochemical profiling and biological evaluations to bridge traditional uses with modern scientific validation. The session aims to equip participants with essential tools and standardized approaches for documenting plant biodiversity, assessing bioactive compounds, and linking phytochemical data with therapeutic and ecological​ significance. This comprehensive framework supports high-quality research in plant sciences, natural product discovery, and conservation biology.

حيث استعرض  الدكتور أبرز المحاور والنتائج ذات الصلة بالموضوع مقدماً طرحاً علمياً قيّماً أثار نقاشاً مثمراً بين أعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلاب الحاضرين. وتأتي هذه الندوة ضمن سلسلة الأنشطة العلمية التي يحرص قسم الأحياء على تنظيمها بشكل دوري وذلك في إطار تعزيز النشاط البحثي والأكاديمي بالقسم وحرصاً على إتاحة الفرصة للتفاعل العلمي وتبادل الخبرات والمعارف بين أعضاء هيئة التدريس والباحثين وطلاب الدراسات العليا بالقسم.
