في إطار النشاط العلمي والبحثي لقسم الفيزياء بكلية العلوم، أقام القسم ندوة علمية بعنوان:
Thin film deposition technique for high efficient solar absorber applications
قدّمها سعادة الأستاذ الدكتور محمد عبد الرافع ، وذلك يوم الأربعاء الموافق 10/09/2025 في تمام الساعة 08:45 صباحاً بقاعة 03-33B بالكلية.
وقد تناولت الندوة العلمية ما يلي:
The most important technical challenges in solar energy applications in solar collectors were reviewed, most notably the large loss of solar radiation on the surfaces of thermal collectors in the heat exchanger due to the reflection of the solar radiation from the absorbers, such as oxides of cobalt, copper and nickel, which were overcome by implementation and developing an efficient and inexpensive method for coating of multi-layers of absorber followed by an anti-reflecting coating. This technique enabled the deposition of multiple, successive twenty five layers of black cobalt oxide as the main absorber followed by sixteen layers of anti-reflective copper oxide film. Studies and thermal measurements under direct solar radiation show that the surface temperature reaches its maximum value when using eight layers of copper oxide. This technology has been localized in the Optoelectronics Laboratory in the department of Physics, College of Science. On the sidelines of the seminar, the research facilities and equipments in the laboratory was presented that were purchased within the financial support of the National Plan Project, and a discussion the ways of scientific and research collaboration department members in order to maximize the benefit from these scientific and technical capabilities.
حيث استعرض الدكتور محمد عبد الرافع أبرز المحاور والنتائج ذات الصلة بالموضوع مقدماً طرحاً علمياً قيّماً أثار نقاشاً مثمراً بين أعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلاب الحاضرين.
وتأتي هذه الندوة ضمن سلسلة الأنشطة العلمية التي يحرص قسم الفيزياء على تنظيمها بشكل دوري وذلك في إطار تعزيز النشاط البحثي والأكاديمي بالقسم وحرصاً على إتاحة الفرصة للتفاعل العلمي وتبادل الخبرات والمعارف بين أعضاء هيئة التدريس والباحثين وطلاب الدراسات العليا بالقسم.
