The center belongs to Deanship of Scientific Research and  emphasizes on professional development of  staff members and  students to improve  the research quality by considering the research priorities of the college.

Research center look for departments of college of engineering:

1. To determine the priorities of scientific research in the College of Engineering to meet the needs of the community and the region.
2. To support scientific research and encouraging the researchers in the College of Engineering
3. To initiate and develop necessary infrastructure for research such as laboratories and equipment.
4. To organize conferences/training sessions and invite guest speakers.
5. To collaborate research with other universities/industry.
