​On Generalised Central Limit Theorems

ملخص الندوة:

 The central limit theorem shows that the normalised sums of independent random variables having the same distribution and a finite variance converge to the standard normal distribution. 

 In this lecture we discuss generalised forms of the central limit theorem especially in the  case of infinite variance.  For this aim, the stable distributions play a fundamental role. ​
