About the Center

The Council of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, led by the University's Rector, Prof. Ahmed bin Salim Al-Amari, has issued Decision No. 3327 of 1439-1440, officially approving the establishment of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.

The decision, which aims to cultivate a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, reflects the university's commitment to contribute to the realization of the Saudi Vision 2030. It recognizes the important role of entrepreneurship in driving the economic development of the country. It also emphasizes that small and medium enterprises serve as vital engines of economic growth, as they not only create jobs but also support innovation.

In October 2023, the Council of Universities Affairs granted approval for the comprehensive academic structure of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, a decision that will contribute to enhancing the quality of education outcomes, optimizing spending efficiency, and achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

On that occasion, the university's Rector, Prof. Ahmed bin Salim Al-Amri, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, for their unwavering support towards higher education in the Kingdom. He also extended his appreciation to the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Council of Universities Affairs, HE. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, for his consistent support and guidance in advancing Saudi universities and their role in society.

The restructuring of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University encompasses several changes. These changes include the renaming of certain vice rectorates and departments, as well as the establishment of new colleges, institutes, and centers. Additionally, certain academic departments have been merged and renamed to enhance the university's outcomes in the job market, and to align its programs with the new transformative goals envisioned for the next phase of Saudi Vision development.

As part of the new structural changes, adjustments have been made to the name of the Deanship of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. It is now known as the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.
