The General Administration for Safety and University Security participated in a booth at the "Bader" exhibition, aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of drugs and psychoactive substances. The event was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in partnership with 27 governmental, private entities, charitable organizations, and student clubs at the university, taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday, corresponding to the 13th and 14th of Jumada Al-Akhira in the year 1445 AH, in the main hall of the university campus, and was inaugurated by the university president.
The Director General of the General Administration for Safety and University Security, Mr. Sultan bin Hussein Al-Buqmi, explained “that the administration's participation in the exhibition was part of a collaborative effort by various university entities to raise awareness about the harms of drugs, their types, effects, and prevention methods. As well as highlighting the role of the family and the community in increasing awareness of the importance of preventive measures.
Mr. Al-Buqmi also noted that the booth featured numerous educational materials regarding the dangers of drugs to individuals and society, and it witnessed a significant attendance of visitors.
He expressed his gratitude to the administration members who participated in the event and encouraged them to continue being productive to ensure that operations run smoothly, achieving the objectives that the administration strives to reach.
