Under the patronage of the University President and in the presence of the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Dr. Fahd bin Saleh Al-Luhaidan, the General Administration of Safety and University Security participated with a booth in the International Day of Persons with Disabilities event, themed "United in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals for Persons with Disabilities." This event was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in the university's lobby on Wednesday, 29 Jumada Al-Awwal 1445 AH.
The Vice President for Educational Affairs visited the booth of the General Administration of Safety and University Security and listened to an explanation of the department's efforts in serving individuals with disabilities. He praised the efforts made by the administration in supporting people with disabilities.
For his part, the General Director of the General Administration of Safety and University Security, Mr. Sultan bin Hussein Al-Buqmi, confirmed that the administration's participation in the exhibition aimed to highlight the role of the department in serving students and staff with disabilities.
Mr. Al-Buqmi also explained that the administration has worked to provide 241 parking spaces designated for individuals with disabilities, located near colleges and offices to facilitate their access. The department is collaborating with other departments to streamline procedures for these designated parking spaces.
The booth attracted a large number of visitors, who praised the facilities provided by the administration for individuals with disabilities.
Mr. Al-Buqmi expressed his gratitude to the staff members of the administration who participated in the event and commended them for their ongoing efforts. He encouraged them to continue serving individuals with disabilities and facilitating their needs.
