The College of Computer and Information
Sciences at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University achieved first
rank in the education axis within the specializations of computer and
information sciences, according to the Times Higher Education ranking in
its latest version for the year 2024.
The college was distinguished
by achieving first rank, outperforming (19) other Saudi universities, as
the difference to the second rank exceeded 12%, with a total of 43.4
points.
The Times Higher Education ranking relies on an advanced
methodology in its evaluation of universities that focuses on several
basic tasks of universities; such as: education, scientific research,
knowledge transfer, and international outlook.
It is worth noting
that the education axis, in which the college achieved first rank
nationally, is based on a set of criteria, including academic
reputation, the ratio of students to employees, the percentage of
faculty members with a doctorate, and institutional income.
This
achievement reflects the excellence of the efforts of the college's
scientific departments and the interest in the education axis within the
study plans that are updated according to the changing requirements of
the labor market, future jobs and skills, and the latest developments in
the fields of computer and information sciences.
