About the department:

The Department of Management started as a division in the Department of Islamic Economics affiliated with the College of Sharia at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) in 1420 AH, and the first class graduated from (the Division of Business Administration) in 1424 AH. Then, it emerged as a scientific department after the Economics Department was transformed into an independent college, and in the first semester of the academic year 1427/1428 AH, the first batch graduated with the title (Department of Business Administration, College of Economics and Administrative Sciences), and the department is still graduating continuous batches until now. The Business Administration Department includes a cadre of faculty members, including professors, lecturers, teaching assistants, and management specialists in the theoretical and applied aspects in both male and female centers. The department includes four tracks, and the student specializes after completing the sixth level, which are (Business Administration - Human Resources - Management Information Systems - Marketing).

The academic programs in the Department of Business Administration hold pioneering and excellence place among the programs of the corresponding departments.

 

 

Department Mission:

To be committed to provide academic programs in business administration that contribute to the preparation of administrative and professional cadres that meet the requirements of the labor market and the knowledge society based on quality standards.

 

Program Admission Requirements:

The college aims to accept distinguished high school graduates, and the admission requires the following:

First, the general requirements for admission approved by the university and announced in the Deanship of Admission and Registration for all colleges.

Second, college-specific requirements:

  1. Passing the college preparatory year.
  2. Obtaining the required grade in high school and passing the aptitude test.

It is possible to accept the transfer of a student from another program in the college to the program of the Department of Business Administration with specific requirements, which are:

  1. The student must complete the joint semester courses in a minimum of (45) hours and not more than (70) hours.
  2. The student's GPA must not be less than 3.25 out of 5.00.
  3. The Business Administration Department approves the transfer based on the department's capacity and the interview results.

Dates and requirements for enrollment in the “divisionization" tracks of the Department of Business Administration for the first semester 1445 AH:

The divisionization begins from Sunday, 01/12/1445 AH until the end of Friday, 01/17/1445 AH.

  1. The student must pass (90) hours.
  2. If the student exceeds (120) hours and does not choose a specific track, he will be placed in the business administration track.
  3. If the student exceeds (120) hours and is placed on the Business Administration track, he or she can apply to the department with a request to other tracks if the common courses between the tracks are passed and no course from the Business Administration track is registered.
  4. Any student who wants to choose a specific track must pass the “Principles of Management" course in addition to the track-specific course as follows:

    - Human Resources Management - Human Resources Track.

    - Marketing principles - Marketing Track.

    - Management Information Systems - Management Information Systems track.

    - Materials management - Supply Chain Track.

    - Principles of entrepreneurship - Innovation and Entrepreneurship Track.

5.    The divisionization will be based on the available seats.
