Specialization: Economics

Introduction:

The Economics Department is the oldest department in the college and its foundation. The department has undergone three essential stages in its history. It began in 1399 AH as a specialized department in Islamic economics at the College of Sharia in Riyadh. It then separated and became an independent branch in the department after expanding its specialization to include economics and administrative sciences in 1420 AH. Later, it transformed again into an independent department specializing in economics when the royal approval was issued to convert the Department of Economics and Administrative Sciences at the College of Sharia into an independent college under the same name in 1427 AH.

Today, the department takes pride in being one of the tributaries that supply the labor market in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with human resources with a high level of economic knowledge and research skills. Additionally, the department strives to contribute to achieving the goals of Vision 2030 development.
