Message from Head of Mechanical Engineering Department
Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, which was established with the beginning of the establishment of the College of Engineering in 1430/1431 AH (2009/2010 AD). The department is considered one of the leading departments in the college and is one of the largest departments in terms of the number of students and faculty members.
The department offers a distinguished program in the field of mechanical engineering in all its various fields such as mechanical design, advanced manufacturing, materials science and engineering, automatic control and mechanical vibrations, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, air conditioning and refrigeration, internal combustion engines and water desalination.
The department considers the student to be the focus of the educational process, so the department is committed to providing its students with basic and modern skills and knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering that meet the needs of the labor market. The department seeks to graduate engineers with high scientific and practical competence and to provide the labor market with graduates with high skills that suit the targeted fields in various governmental and industrial sectors, while ensuring the promotion of a culture of creativity, innovation and self-learning among students in response to the rapid developments in modern technologies and in support of the aspirations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve its vision 2030. The department is also distinguished by the presence of an elite group of faculty members who have obtained prestigious academic qualifications from international universities from various countries that enrich the diversity of cultures and conduct distinguished scientific research that enhances the university's position locally and internationally through several programs such as research companies and funding programs at the university.
