​The academic guidance in the college helps students to understand the system of study provided in the academic guidance, tests and executive rules issued by the university regarding this regulation.  It also provides knowledge about the students' rights and duties, as well as helping them to overcome the problems or obstacles that may affect their academic achievement.

 

Executive Plan for Academic Guidance

  1. With the beginning of the semester and in cooperation with the Academic Advising Unit at the University, manuals and guidance publications about the university academic systems along with the internal systems of the college of Engineering are provided.

  2. ​To consolidate the knowledge about the university academic systems and the internal regulations of the college of Engineering by distributing the necessary publications and instructions including:  

    • - College of Engineering Guide.

    • - University Student Guide.

    • - How to transfer from college to another and withdrawal and drop the semester.

    • - Studying and tests systems for new students.​

  3. Provide guidance and advice for students who are failing or stumbling according to the college academic and guidance systems.

  4. Discuss potential students' failure in preparatory year courses and find the reasons for that failure along with informing them about the consequences if repeated.

  5. Preparation for a guidance program for students who fail at the first level of study in order to overcome the problems and difficulties they encountered.

  6. Encourage outstanding students to continue their excellency.

  7. Preparing of general guidance programs that will be useful to enhance the student's educational and academic achievements.
