Re-enrollment
If the student fails to study for a semester without a request for deferral, the university will end the student's enrollment, and the university council has the authority to end the student enrolment if he fails to study for shorter period. For an associate student, his enrollment will end if he fails to attend all final exams in a giving semester without an acceptable excuse. A student's enrollment will not end if he was taking classes as a visitor at another university.
Cases where the re-enrollment cannot be established:- Students may not be re-enrolled more than once. However, the University Council may, in case of necessity, might be exempted from doing so.
- It is not permissible to re- enroll a student who has Exceeded the number of warnings from the university or exceeded the fixed period of his studies at the university.
- If the Students is no longer enrolled for four semesters or more, be re-enrollment conditions do not apply on him, he can apply to the university as new student without considering his previous academic record. However, conditions for admission for new student must apply to the applicant.
- Students who have been dismissed from the university for educational or disciplinary reasons will not get re-enrolled.
Cases where the re-enrollment can be established:(A) The student whose enrollment is terminated may apply for re-enrollment with his same record number according to the following regulations - Student may apply for re-enrollment within four semesters from the date of terminating his enrollment.
- The College Council and the relevant authorities in the university must agree to re-enroll the student
(B) The student may be re-enrolled for a second time or for a student whose enrolment has been terminated for more than four semesters, according to the following rules: - Interruption of the student must be due to a compulsive reason such as:
- a documented psychological condition.
- an accident that holds back the student from attending.
- accompanying a student dependent patient.
- imprisonment.
- assignment of an official mission outside or inside the Kingdom.
- The student must pass at least half of the graduation requirements
- The student's GPA must not be less than (2.00) out of (5.00)
- The duration of the abruption must not exceed the maximum duration of the original graduation of the studies and examinations period for the student's academic track.
- The remaining period of the student graduation is compatible with the original and exceptional period
- The student must get an approval from the department to which he is applying for a re-enrollment. Plus, the student must commit to study any additional courses that may be decided by the department.
- The university president can exempt applicants from the regulations explained above
