IMSIU Students Shine at 49th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions

Students representing both the male and female campuses of IMSIU made headlines by clinching multiple awards at the 49th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions. Among the standout achievements was the gold medal earned by a female student-led project titled "AutiScan," spearheaded by esteemed faculty member Dr. Sara Al-Mazedi. This innovative endeavor employs eye-integrated virtual reality technology coupled with a built-in camera to explore the autism spectrum in children.

Additionally, three other inventions by IMSIU students were honored with Bronze medals. Notably, the male team, under the guidance of Dr. Khalid AlMuhanna, Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, College of Engineering, showcased the groundbreaking "Smart Pen." This invention revolutionizes blood sugar measurement in the human body through pioneering techniques.
