The Department of Sociology and Social Work aims to provide advanced academic education that keeps pace with modern changes and meets the needs of the labor market, with a focus on building research and applied capabilities among students. We are also keen to strengthen partnerships with community institutions and contribute to providing solutions to social problems..
We at the Department of Sociology and Social Work believe in the importance of investing in people, and that change begins with thought and education. Therefore, we work as a team to provide a supportive and distinguished educational environment that inspires our students and motivates them to be creative and excel..
The department has a distinguished position at the university and local levels, as it has provided and continues to provide many experts and scholars who are honored to serve their country, their king and their community. The department continuously seeks to develop its academic programs to suit the needs of the labor market. The department offers distinguished educational programs to its students, taught by professors who possess scientific competence and academic experience. The department also includes six academic programs, which are::
1. Bachelor's degree in Sociology.
2. Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
3. Master's degree in Sociology.
4. Master’s degree in Social Service with two tracks (Social Therapy - Social Planning and Management of Social Care Institutions).
5. PhD in Sociology.
6. Doctorate in Social Work with two tracks (Direct Practice - Social Care Policies and Management of Social Institutions).
7. Higher Diploma with two tracks (Family Counseling - Social Reform and Rehabilitation)
