A field trip in which a number of professors and students from the Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems participated to the Ibex Reserve in Hawtah Bani Tamim Governorate, organized by the Saudi Geographical Society.

A number of professors and students from the Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems at the college participated in a field trip to the Ibex Reserve in Hawtah Bani Tamim Governorate, which was organized by the Saudi Geographical Society and sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture on Monday, May 22.

This trip included a visit to the headquarters of the Ibex Reserve in the governorate, where the participating delegation was received and then the efforts of the reserve’s field team in protection and community education were reviewed on the importance of the role they play.

After that, we visited the Al-Sha’bah Reserve, had lunch, and learned about the efforts of one of the region’s sons, Mr. Ibrahim Aba Al-Tyous, in preserving biodiversity and sustainable environmental and tourism development.

The visit concluded with a visit to a green farm in Al Hariq Governorate, hosted by the sons of Sheikh Mohammed Al Khathlan, may God have mercy on him.
