Starting from the current semester:

(Implementing the development plan for the Bachelor’s program in the Department of History and Civilization at Imam University)

 It contains new and modern tracks that effectively meet the requirements of the labor market and contribute to driving the wheel of development.

The new curriculum for the Department of History and Civilization includes four general levels studied by all students in the department, which include general history, while the student specializes after the fourth level, so that he completes from the fifth level in the track he was accepted into in one of the new tracks.

1_Historical content path:

The importance of content comes at an advanced level globally, in all its types, due to the importance of the accurate information it contains, and sometimes of high sensitivity, due to its impact on perceptions and decisions.

2_Heritage and Culture Path:

Heritage and culture are among the most important components of societies and the foundation of their legacy, in its various forms of tangible and intangible heritage, and the culture of society and its intellectual development.

3_The path of military and strategic history:

History has great informational value in military and strategic aspects, as all accumulated experiences in this are included in history, and military development only occurred through the accumulation of previous experiences.

4_The path of diplomatic history and international relations:

The study of history mainly includes diplomacy and international relations, and this track focuses on this field in a precise manner, ensuring outputs that have deep and accurate informational value, as well as high skill aspects in dealing with diplomatic aspects and international relations.

5_National History Path:

This course focuses on Saudi history in detail, studying the historical depth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from before Islam to the establishment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and all Saudi roles.​
