Under the patronage of His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Ameri, Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, organizes the Mental Health Forum

Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Ameri, the Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the College of Social Sciences, organized this morning, Wednesday 10/9/2024, the 2024 Mental Health Forum, which coincides with World Mental Health Day under the slogan "Towards a Work Environment that Promotes Mental Health" and is held in the university lobby on the university campus.

 The exhibition was opened on behalf of His Excellency the President, Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Asmari, where he viewed the pavilions participating in the two-day exhibition, which includes scientific programs aimed at raising awareness about mental health issues, their importance, and means of enhancing them. The exhibition also includes providing psychological consultations, awareness corners, educational lectures, and scientific sessions covering various topics related to mental health.

 This coincided with the opening of the exhibition on mental health in the conference building in King Abdullah City for Female Students, in the presence of the Vice-Rector for Institutional Development and Social Responsibility, Dr. Kholoud bint Fawaz Al-Tamimi, and with the participation of the Vice-Dean of Student Affairs for Female Students, Dr. Ahood Al-Munaie, and the Director General of King Abdullah City for Female Students, Ms. Maznah bint Nasser Aba Al-Khail, and a number of university leaders and members from the academic and administrative bodies and a large number of female students.

 (28) specialized entities from within the university participated in raising awareness in this exhibition, such as the Psychological and Social Counseling and Treatment Unit (Enaya), and other entities from outside the university, such as the Matmana Center, the National Family Safety Program, the Ishraqa Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of Addiction Patients, the Saudi Schizophrenia Association, the Mental Health Promotion Association, the Irada Complex for Mental Health, and a number of specialized centers and student clubs.

 Through these activities, the university seeks to raise community awareness about the importance of mental health and support its members in facing the psychological challenges they may face, reflecting the importance of building an institutional culture in which mental health is an integral part of its strategy.
