Professor Ibrahim Al-Batal, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, College of Science, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, specialized in statistics, was the external examiner of a master's thesis at the Faculty of Science, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah.

The thesis was presented by Ms. Iftikhar bint Qabil Al-Sulami, teaching assistant at the Faculty of Science, King Abdulaziz University; under the supervision of Dr. Latifah bint Ismail Al-Turk, Associate Professor, Department of Statistics, King Abdulaziz University. The thesis is titled Some Debugging Models for Software Reliability: Generalization, Statistical Inference, and Prediction

It is worth mentioning that Prof. Ibrahim Al-Batal has published many research papers in the field of statistics, and participated in the activities of the department, whether scientific sessions or supervising research projects of graduate students, or teaching all statistics, probability, and mathematics courses for male and female students in undergraduate and graduate studies.
