The second seminar of the second semester was presented by Dr Ibrahim Idris Sulaiman at the Department of Physics

The Scientific Committee of the Department of Physics organized the eighth seminar of the academic year 1437/1438 AH. The seminar was titled: "Absorbed dose determination in clinical high energy electron bean: An experimental comparison of IAEA TRS-398, AAPM TG-51, DIN 6800-2 protocols".

The seminar was presented by Dr. Ibrahim Idris Sulaiman, an associate professor at the Department of Physics. The event took place on Tuesday 15/6/1438 AH, corresponding to 14/3/2017, at 9:45 AM, and lasted for half an hour. The seminar was followed by a discussion and questions from the audience.

The speaker started the seminar by providing a brief on absorbed dose determination in electron beam. Then he discussed how to compare between different protocols to measure the absorbed dose. The discussion then addressed various topics where many students and faculty participated.

The seminar is part of a series of bimonthly seminars organized by the scientific committee in the Department of Physics and presented by faculty of the department and researchers from other sections. The series of seminars is supervised by the chairman of the scientific committee of the department Dr.Ra'id Al-Hathlool. Furthermore, it was coordinated and directed by the Scientific Committee member Dr. Jaber Al-Ghool. The aim of these seminars is to stimulate the scientific research atmosphere in the department and to keep the staff informed of the latest findings in physics in various fields.

It is worth mentioning that all university staff including faculty members, employees, and students are allowed to attend these seminars
