The fourth seminar of the first semester presented by Dr. Mohannad Al-Hmoud from the Department of Physics

The Scientific Committee in the Department of Physics has organized the fourth seminar 1437/1438 AH entitled: "Quantum dot emitters in planar photonic crystal nanocavities".

The seminar was presented by Dr. Mohannad Al-Hmoud, assistant professor at the Department of Physics, on Tuesday November 22, 2016 at 10 AM, for half an hour. The seminar included discussions and inquiries.

Dr. Al-Hmoud began with an introduction about the methods of manufacturing samples and the most significant results obtained. Then, a discussion with faculty and students took place on the ways of choosing methods of manufacturing and the difficulties faced by the researcher in achieving good samples that are valid for several applications.

This seminar is one of a series of semimonthly seminars organized by the Scientific Committee in the Department of Physics and presented by the faculty of the department and other researchers. These seminars are supervised by Dr. Ra'id Al-Hathlool, head of the Scientific Committee; and organized by Dr. Jaber Al-Ghool, member of the Scientific Committee. These seminars aim to promote a scientific atmosphere and to inform staff with the latest physics discoveries in all fields.

It is worth mentioning that all university staff including faculty members, employees, and students are allowed to attend these seminars.
