The Physics Department Participated in the 'Light and Optics Workshop' Organized by the Saudi Society of Physical sciences

The Physics Department in the College of Science at Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University participated in the 'Light and Optics Workshop' organized by the Saudi Society for Physical Sciences, represented by the National Group of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, on Sunday 12 Jumada Al-
Awwal1437A.H., corresponding to 21 February 2016, from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.  The event was held in the Conference Building at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST).    

 H.E. Dr. Raed Ibn Hussein Al-Hathlool, from the Physics Department, and Vice-Dean of the college for Development and Quality, participated in the workshop. The program involved a number of themes related to light and nonlinear optics, and lasted for two sessions, each of which consisted of two lectures. Moreover, the program included two additional sessions in the afternoon meant for teachers of Physics in general education entitled "Concepts and Developments in Light and Optics Science", presented by Dr. Abdullah Ibn Muhammad Al-Zier, and Dr. Zain Ibn Hasan Yamani.    
 The event also included an exhibition of scientific posters prepared by the Physics Department students.
