The college of Science represented by the Physics Department honored H.E. Dr. Marzouk Ibn Saleh Al-Shammari, a researcher at the National Center for Nanotechnology at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), and supervisor, together with Dr. Raed Ibn Hussein Al-Hathlool, for the first batch of graduation projects of the female students of the Physics Department at KACST's laboratories which took place in the first semester of this academic year 1436/1437 A.H. Thanks to Allah, the Almighty, in the first place for the success of that experience and thanks to Dr. Marzooq's efforts, may Allah protect him. This initiative was the first of its kind in the College of Science.
The college represented by its Dean presented an appreciation plaque to Dr. Marzouk Al-Shammari thanking him for his distinguished and fruitful effort exerted in supervising the graduation projects of the female students of the Physics Department.
The award event coincided with the College of Science ceremony for honoring its members who won grants from the Academic Publishing Incentives Program in its fourth session of this year 1436/1437 A.H. which took place on Tuesday 21 Jumada Al-Awwal 1437 A.H. corresponding to 1 March 2016 where Dr. Marzouk Al-Shammari was the guest of honor in the ceremony.
In his turn, H.E. Dr. Raed Ibn Hussein Al-Hathlool, the Vice-Dean of the college for Development and Quality and supervisor of the female students, extended his deep thanks to Dr. Marzooq for his cooperation with the department in many activities. Some of Dr. Marzooq's contributions were giving an academic seminar, receiving a student visit from the Physics Department, and supervising graduation projects of female students in the Physics Department in the laboratories of the National Center for Nanotechnology at KACST. Dr. Raed Al-Hathlool also talked briefly about the project from the beginning to the successful end by Allah's grace.
Then he concluded his speech by thanking all those who contributed in the project and supported it addressing special thanks to H.E. Dr. Ahmad Al-Qaoud, Head of the Physics Department, and H.E. Ms. Mervat Al-Zumia, Vice-Dean of the Physics Department. Moreover, Dr. Al-Hathlool expressed his deep thanks to H.E. Dr. Muhammad Babtain, Dean of the Science College, Dr. Muneer Al-Dasouqi, Supervisor of the Materials Science Research Institute at KACST, and Dr, Abdullah Al-Khudairy, Supervisor of the National Center for Nanotechnology at KACST, for their support and encouragement for the project since its beginning.
