Setting off of Al-Imam University celebration program of the 85 National Day Anniversary

    On Wednesday morning, 24 / 12 / 1436 AH, Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University celebration program of the 85 National Day anniversary set off. It was prepared by the program entitled (Anta Ya Watani Ana) (Oh My Country You Are Me). A national scientific seminar was held at the  College of Information and Computer Sciences and  College  of Science. It was entitled (University Student Responsibility of Preserving One's Country against Dangers and Threatenings). Prof. Abdulaziz Alhlaiyel, University Vice-Rector for student Affairs; Dr. Issa Alissa, Dean of the  College of Information and Computer Sciences; Dr. Muhammad Babatan, Dean of the  College of Science, and Prof. Saleh Azzahrani, staff member at College of Information and Computer Sciences talked on the occasion.   

    Dr. Alhlaiyel expressed his congratulations on the occasion to His Majesty Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Ibn Abdulaziz, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad Ibn Naiyef Ibn Abdlaziz Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad Ibn Salman Ibn Abdulaziz Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister, and minister of Defense - may Allah protect Them. He also congratulated the Minister of Education Dr. Azzam Addakhil and University Deputy Rector Dr. Fowzan Alfowzan.   

    He ascertained that this country enjoys many graces, the greatest of which is Islam and having it the way of ruling, andin security and in the tranquility, which many countries envy us for. He declared that there are few people who try to attract some of the country's youths to be a tool in the hands of its enemies. He strictly ascertained to be aware of what enemies plot against our country and try to shake its security. He noticed that the youths have a great responsibility towards their religion, country and rulers through the technology they have in their hands. He urged the youths to do something for their country by counter attacking the assaults on the nation and its unity. He warned of this group as they should be detected as their attack on the country is a fierce one.    

    Dr. Haiyel stated that preserving the security of the nation is a religious duty, and citizens are its first defenders. Ending his speech he prayed to Almighty Allah to sustain the security of this country and all Muslim countries and support fighters at the border frontiers. 

   The dean of the  College of Information and Computer Sciences, Dr. Issa Alissa declared that this country witnessed big leaps in various fields, among which is information technology on which all government and private departments depend. He stated that the Kingdom is facing a fierce campaign on the inter-net and social media. He called upon those concerned in this field among whom are students of the College of Information and computer sciences to stand against the enemies with what they obtain of science. He said: Students are to be relied on in development in the technological field.

    Dr. Alissa recalled what the country used to be and how it is nowadays. He asked all to thank Almighty Allah for the graces that we all enjoy.

   The  dean of the   College of Science, Dr. Mohammad Babatan, stated that this anniversary brings back to minds the unity of the country as on this day all came to one word after an enormous struggle led by the Late King Abdulaziz Al Saud, and was continued by his sons until it reached the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Ibn Abdulaziz - may Allah protect him. In his reign, the country has witnessed great cultural leaps and achieved noticeable growth in the  areas of economy, education, development and others. He stated that the country cared about its citizens' education and training in all walks of life, increased the number of universities and opened scholarships, as well as the huge care it gave to the Two Holy Mosques and the printing of the Holy Quran.  

    He ascertained that that there are many graces which people forget to be thankful for, among which is feeling secure in one's country, adding:  Loving of homeland induces security and tranquility, and on this occasion we should not forget to thank our brave soldiers who sacrifice their souls for the stability of the country and protect its properties.

    Prof. Saleh Azzahrani presented a show which highlighted the country's efforts in the sector of communication and information technology and the revolution which accompanied technology and communication network.

    The celebration activities included recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and a poem. In the end, prizes were given to the winning students.
