The College of Science Holds Final Ceremony for Members

Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Babtain, Dean of the College of Science, sponsored the Final Ceremony for College members for the academic year 1436/ 1437 AH.

Dr. Babtain started the Ceremony with a welcome speech addressing the attendees of faculty and staff members. He also welcomed Professor Abdulaziz Al-Amer, Dean of eLearning and Distance Education and former Head of the Physics Department. Moreover, he gave credit to the blessed efforts made by the College members towards students and the excellence obtained by the College, as usual, in the field of scientific research. He also added that the College excellence is not only limited to research but even beyond that to excellence in teaching. Furthermore, he clarified that the College has the honor of delivering outstanding teaching to its students and students from other colleges at the University.

Subsequently, he addressed questions, inquiries, and suggestions of faculty members, which were beneficial, effective, and fruitful.

Then, he presented an honorary plaque to Professor Muhammad Al-Rajhi, Vice-Dean of eLearning and Distance Education and former Head of the Physics Department, for his promotion to the rank of professor. He also presented an honorary plaque to Dr. Kholoud Al-Balawi, Vice-Dean of the College for Student Affairs, for the end of her term as Vice-Dean of the College. After that, he presented appreciation plaques to faculty members who will leave the College at the end of this academic year, and he thanked them for their blessed efforts and good reputation.

On the other hand, the Vice-Dean for Development and Quality presented an overview of the work of the Deanship and its three units: Development and Quality Unit, Training Unit, and Statistics and Data Analysis Unit. He pointed out the achievements of the Deanship during this year as a result of cooperation of the Deanship members and faculty members. Dr. Al-Hathlool then asked the Dean to hand the Deanship members their certificates of appreciation.
