Seven female students from the Physics Department and a student from the Mathematics and Statistics Department won awards in the 7th Scientific Forum for Students, representing all departments of the College of Science on both Male and Female Campuses.
Six female students from the Physics Department won all awards dedicated for the College in scientific research topics (presentations), which amount to three awards. These three awards fall within the topics of scientific research – Basic, Engineering, and Computer Sciences track. The female students obtained this success due to their outstanding research, which earned high assessment from Preliminary Triage and Referee Committees, and then from Final Referee Committees during the presentation of scientific research.
It is noteworthy that the female students of the Physics Department who conducted their graduation projects in King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) won first and second places in this competition. They were Maram Al-Furiji, Arwa Al-Harbi, Nourah Al-Ghaith, and Maha Al-Shammari. On the other hand, Dr. Al-Hathlool, the College supervisor of these projects, clarified that this excellence is recorded for these female researchers for their great efforts during their work on the research project in KACST.In addition, Dr. Marzouk Al-Shammari, KACST supervisor of these projects, congratulated the students.
Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Babtain, Dean of the College, congratulated all female student winners and their supervisors. He also wished them a bright academic future.

Second Place: Nourah Al-Ghaith and Maha Al-Shammari (the Physics Department) under the supervision of Dr. Marzouk Al-Shammari and Dr. Raed Al-Hathlool.
Third Place: Reem Al-Mutairi and Mi'ad Al-Doshan (the Physics Department) under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Abdulrafa.

First Place: Jawaher Al-Alawi (the Physics Department) under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Hassan Issa Salem
Second Place: Hadeel Al-Qahtani (the Mathematics and Statistics Department) under the supervision of Professor Muhammad Al-Humaisi.
The 7th Scientific Forum for Students was held at the University from Sunday to Thursday, 07/10-14/1437 AH, corresponding to 04/17-21/2016 AD.
