The Vice-Deanship of the College of Science for Development and Quality, under the supervision of Dr. Abeer Al-Nahdi, Assistant Vice-Dean of the College of Science for Development and Quality, organized a training workshop on Wednesday, 07/27/1437 AH, corresponding to 05/04/2016 AD, in the College of Science, Building 323, at 09:00 – 11:00 am. It was presented by Dr. Najla Abdul`al, Dr. Ahlam Al-Qasimi, and Dr. Ibtisam Al-Duwaish, the representatives of the Development and Quality Unit. The Workshop was attended by Dr. Kholoud Al-Balawi, Vice-Dean of the College of Science, and Ms. Mervat Al-Zumia and Dr. Mona Asfour, Deputy Heads of the scientific departments.

It is noteworthy to mention that the workshop was held to disseminate the concept of quality among faculty members and establish a quality culture in the College. This Workshop falls within basic workshops in the field of introducing quality in higher education. One of its main objectives is to explain how to prepare the "Course File" and achieve quality. It is noteworthy to mention that this Workshop is the third one organized by the Vice-Deanship of the College of Science for Development and Quality (Female Section), which targets faculty in the College.

Dr. Abeer Al-Nahdi, Assistant Vice-Dean of the College of Science for Development and Quality, began the Workshop by giving an overview of the administrative and organizational structure and the most outstanding achievements of the Vice-Deanship during the academic year 1436/1437 AH.

Afterwards, Dr. Ibtisam Al-Duwaish presented the First Workshop Session. Its most important topics were:

• The Concept of Quality and Academic Accreditation.
• Standards of Quality and Accreditation in Education.
• Quality in Educational Process.

Then, Dr. Najla Abdul`al presented the Second Session of the Workshop. Its most important topic was:

• The Course File, Its Importance, How to Prepare It, and Its Contents.

After that, Dr. Ahlam Al-Qasimi explained how to fill out the course report practically.

In conclusion, quality representatives answered attendees' questions and inquiries during an exciting discussion among members.

In addition, Dr. Koloud Al-Balawi, Vice-Dean of the College of Science, handed certificates of appreciation to the members of units and committees of the Vice-Deanship for Development and Quality for their efforts during the academic year 1436/1437 AH.

Finally, Dr. Abeer Al-Nahdi, Assistant Vice-Dean of the College of Science for Development and Quality, thanked everyone who participated in the success and preparation of the Workshop, especially Dr. Raed Al-Hathlool, Vice-Dean of the College of Science for Development and Quality, Dr. Kholoud Al-Balawi, Vice-Dean of the College, and Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Babtain, Dean of the College, for their support and help.
