The Vice-Deanship of the College of Science for Development and Quality (Female Section) received a delegation from the Vice-Deanship of Assessment and Quality, including Ms. Ghada Abdullah Al-Otaibi and Ms. Amal Farhan Al-Anzi. The Delegation was received by Dr. Kholoud Al-Balawi, Vice-Dean of the College of Science for Student Affairs, and Dr. Abeer Al-Nahdi, Assistant Vice-Dean of the College of Science for Development and Quality, on Monday 05/27/1437 AH, corresponding to 03/7/2016 AD. In addition, both Dr. Ibtisam Al-Duweish and Dr. Ahlam Al-Qassimi participated in the reception.
The delegation visited departments of the College and was briefed on efforts of the Development and Quality Unit (Female Section), as well as on what has been achieved regarding course reports, course descriptions, course folders, programs descriptions and guides, annual and periodic reports, and other forms of quality assurance and academic accreditation.
On the other hand, Dr. Abeer Al-Nahdi presented an overview of the College Vice-Deanship for Development and Quality units, which are: The Development and Quality Unit, Statistics and Data Analysis Unit, and Training Unit, as well as Graduates Sub-Committee. She also illustrated some of the achievements of the Vice-Deanship with respect to the completion of the Second Strategic Plan of the College "Horizon (Aufuq) 1441 AH," and organizational restructuring of the College, as well as the analysis of questionnaires filled by the expected employers for graduates of the College of Science.
Furthermore, the delegation of the Vice-Deanship of Assessment and Quality gave credit to what the College has achieved regarding academic accreditation. It is worth mentioning that the College has achieved the requirements of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) and is ready to apply a request for academic accreditation. Both the University Vice-Rectorate for Planning, Development, and Quality and the Deanship of Assessment and Quality gave credit to the accomplishments achieved by the College regarding this issue.
In addition, Dr. Abeer Al-Nahdi clarified that although there is too much work and difficulties and that Vice-Deanship members are all faculty members, which makes administrative tasks hard to accomplish, the achievements impressively keep going due to the efforts of all members of the Vice-Deanship of the College for Development and Quality, under the leadership of Dr. Raed Hathlool, the Vice-Dean for Development and Quality, and the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Babtain, the Dean of the College.
