A lecture entitled: Titanium Oxide Nanotubes: Synthesis, Characterization & Applications, by Dr. Kamaal Khlifah Taha Hamzah

On Tuesday, 16 December, 2014, Associate Professor Dr. Kamaal Khalifah Taha Hamzah, from the Chemistry Department, presented a lecture entitled:

"Titanium Oxide Nanotubes Synthesis, Characterization & Applications"

Nano technology is a modern science with enormous benefits that include several fields like energy, environment and medicine. In this lecture, methods of preparing these tubes and factors affecting their features were reviewed. Appliances and techniques used to identify the tubes' mounting, appearance, optic features, and operating mechanisms were also reviewed. The speaker presented some of his previous achievements in this field, which included manufacturing these materials and using them in making solar cells and removing biological pollutants from the environment.
