The Scientific Committee of the Physics Department organized a seminar entitled:

"Compositional Relax of Se90Te8Sn2 and Se90Te6Sn4 in Glass Transition Area",

Given by Dr. Shareef Nimr Ali Aburrub, department staff member. That was on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., 19 Jumada I, 1436 AH - 10 March, 2015 AD, in the meeting room of the Physics Department.

This study the effect of both composition and temperature on the relaxation process in the glass transmission area of the material through what is called  nonlinear Relaxation coefficient by using peak shift method during exposing the material to a three-phase thermal cycle are being identified.

 On the other hand, the Scientific Committee of the Physics Department stated that seminars of the Physics Department were presented weekly at 11:00 p.m. in the meeting room for not more than half an hour including discussion and remarks of the audience. These seminars are open to all university staff members and students, and broadcasted live to the Physics Department at King Abdullah City for Female Students.

These seminars aim at spreading knowledge, encouraging scientific research culture, and contributing in enriching discussions between the staff members of the department about their scientific and research interests.
