Physics Department organizes a scientific seminar about "Applications of Ionic Beams"

Scientific Committee of Physics Department organized a scientific seminar entitled

"Applications of Ionic Beams".

This seminar was presented by associate professor Dr. MoHammad Hasan Issa Salim, Physics Department on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. on 17 Safar, 1436 AH - 9 December, 2014 AD, in the meeting room of Physics Department.

Ionic beam technology is very important and versatile. It is very efficient for materials researches. Analysis methods of these beams are restricted in dispersion of high energy particles, or secondary scientific resulting from pausing these particles in the substrate. This technnology provided an extraordinary ability to describe and establish materials of features at nano measurement level. This technology with other supplementary ones helped filming samples with high accuracy.

At this seminar, Dr. MoHammad Hasan Issa Salim discussed some applications of ionic beams in ionic, biological and medical materials and solar cells. In the first part of the seminar, the speaker gave a general overview of research importance, whereas, in the second part he focused on research projects and present cooperation, then he concluded with a briefing about research in the future.

On the other hand, the Scientific Committee of the Physics Department has  stated that scientific seminars of  thePhysics Department were presented weekly at 11:00 p.m. in the meeting room for not more than half an hour including discussion and remarks of the audience. These seminars are open to all university staff members and students, and broadcasted live to the Physics Department at King Abdullah City for Female Students.

These seminars aim at spreading knowledge, encouraging scientific research culture, and contributing in enriching discussions between the staff members of the department about their scientific and research interests.
