في إطار النشاط العلمي والبحثي لقسم الرياضيات والإحصاء بكلية العلوم، أقام القسم ندوة علمية (سمنار) بعنوان:
A Study on Testing Exponentiality Against A Classes of Life Distributions
قدّمتها سعادة الدكتورة لمياء صبري جاد دياب، وذلك صباح اليوم الأربعاء الموافق 13/4/2026 م في تمام الساعة 8:30 صباحاً في معمل 423 بالدور الثالث.
وقد تناولت الندوة العلمية:
1. Aging classes of life distributions.
2. Testing Exponentiality against HNBUET aging class of life distributions.
3. Percentiles for these classes by using Monte Carlo simulations.
4. The pitman asymptotic efficiency and the pitman asymptotic relative efficiency.
5. The power for various sample size.
6. Applications.
Abstract
we introduce a test statistic for testing exponentiality against harmonic new better than used in expectation upper tail based on goodness fit approach and a new test statistic for testing exponentiality against harmonic new better than used in expectation upper tail based on Laplace transform technique. For the proposed tests we study the asymptotic properties and calculate its critical values for sample size n=5(1)50. The powers of this test are also calculated for some commonly used distributions in reliability. Pitman's asymptotic efficiencies of the test are calculated and compared with other tests. The set of real data is used as a practical application of the proposed test in the medical science.

وتأتي هذه الندوة ضمن سلسلة الأنشطة العلمية التي يحرص قسم الرياضيات والإحصاء على تنظيمها بشكل دوري وذلك في إطار تعزيز النشاط البحثي والأكاديمي بالقسم وحرصاً على إتاحة الفرصة للتفاعل العلمي وتبادل الخبرات والمعارف بين أعضاء هيئة التدريس والباحثين وطلاب الدراسات العليا بالقسم.
