يلقي الأستاذ الدكتور محمد عبد الرحمن القاضي، عضو هيئة التدريس بقسم الرياضيات بجامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية، سلسلة من المحاضرات العلمية في قسم الرياضيات بجامعة أوهايو الأمريكية بحضورمجموعة من الأساتذة والمختصين، وذلك بصفته أستاذا زائرا بالقسم في إطار تفرغه العلمي.

أقيمت أول محاضرة يوم الجمعة 3 أبريل 2015م بعنوان:

"Valuations on commutative rings with zero divisors"

ABSTRACT: In this talk I will a sketch summary of the development of valuation theory on fields (Krull's valuations) through its two generalizations – Samuel's paravaluation rings and Manis' valuation rings - to commutative rings with zero divisors. Next I introduce a new additional generalization which I called "almost valuation rings" which is stronger than the first and weaker than the second. I give some of its properties and conclude with some questions.
