1. The applicant must be a faculty member at the university, and must be a PhD holder and working at the time of application

2. The research must not have received supporting from the university or any other support agency

3. In cases where two or more researchers collaborate on a single research paper, the financial reward will be granted to only one internal university researcher. The priority for eligibility to apply for funding will be determined as follows: the first author (the researcher whose name appears first in the list of authors, whether affiliated with the university or not), followed by the corresponding author, and then the second author (the researcher whose name appears second in the list of authors, whether affiliated with the university or not). Authors listed beyond this sequence, regardless of their position, will not be eligible to apply for funding.

​4. The program does not support papers that include more than two corresponding authors.

5.It is required to publish a scientific paper of the type (Research Article, or Review Article) in scientific journals listed in the Web of Science database and classified within the 1st and 2nd quartiles. For applicants from non-applied colleges, papers published in scientific journals listed in the Scopus database and classified within the 1st and 2nd quartiles are also accepted.

6. The average classification is calculated if the journal is classified in more than one field, and the journal classification is calculated based on the date of submission of the research paper to the journal

7. Papers published in the Web of Science, and classified within "Emerging Sources Citation Index" are not accepted.

8. The percentage of researchers affiliated with Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University should not be less than 25% of the total researchers on the research paper.  This percentage excludes papers published in scientific journals classified within the (Top 5%).

9. It is required to write the affiliation to the university on the published research paper, in the following format:​

Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) 

​​For authors from outside the university, dual affiliation is permitted but must not exceed two affiliations.

10. All authors from inside the university must have a single affiliation, and the university does not support research papers that contain a dual affiliation for any of the authors.

11. It is permissible to apply for support for research papers published after 1/1/2025 AD and meeting the publishing regulations

13. ​It is required that the number of papers published in a single scientific journal does not exceed 5 papers, with the exception of research published in journals classified within the first quarter Q1​

14. ​The funding statement section must indicate the program's support in the following specific format
