1.The applicant must be a faculty member at the university, and must be a PhD holder and working at the time of application.
2.The research must not have received supporting from the university or any other support agency.
3. If two or more researchers co-author a single research paper, the award will be granted to only one author from within the university. Priority for applying for funding will be given in the following order: First author (the author whose name appears first in the list of authors on the paper, whether from within or outside the university), followed by the corresponding author, and then the second author (the author whose name appears second in the list of authors on the paper, whether from within or outside the university). The remaining authors, regardless of their order, are not eligible to apply for funding.
4. The program does not support papers with more than two (2) corresponding authors.
5. It is required to publish a scientific paper of the type (Research Article, or Review Article) in scientific journals listed in the Web of Science database and classified within the 1st and 2nd quartiles; according to the JCR Category, which assigns an impact factor to journals (JIF) for applicants from applied colleges (Science, Medicine, Engineering, Computer Science and Information, Nursing, and equivalent disciplines). For applicants from non-applied colleges, papers published in scientific journals listed in the Scopus database and classified within the 1st and 2nd quartiles are also accepted; with the exception of applicants from the College of Business, the acceptance of their published papers is limited to the 1st quartile, according to Scopus database.
6. Papers published in Web of Science, and classified within "Emerging Sources Citation Index" are not accepted.
7.The average classification is calculated if the journal is classified in more than one field, and the journal classification is calculated based on the date of submission of the research paper to the journal.
8.The percentage of researchers affiliated with Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University should not be less than 25% of the total researchers on the research paper. This percentage excludes papers published in scientific journals classified within the (Top 10%).
9.It is required to write the affiliation to the university on the published research paper, in the following format:

Authors from outside the university are only allowed to add a second affiliation at most.
10.Applying for support for published papers is limited to the date specified for the first stage, and meet the publication requirements.
11.Scientific discoveries and inventions resulting from published research papers are subject to the Intellectual Property Rights Policy of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University.
12.The maximum number of scientific papers that meet the publication criteria and are allowed to be submitted for support by each applicant during this stage is 10.
13.It is required that the number of papers published in a single scientific journal does not exceed 5 papers, consecutive publication in the same journal is permitted up to a maximum of three times consecutively, and the researcher must provide proof of publication in another journal before republishing in the same journal, with the exception of research papers published in journals classified within the first quarter Q1.
14.The reward of the published research paper is calculated according to the previous regulations in force in 2025.
15.The support included in this program is encouraging, subject to the university's discretionary authority, and does not entail the creation or claim of rights by those covered by it.
16.The researcher is committed to the following:
1. Ethics of scientific research, ensuring the originality of the research and not publishing it previously.
2. Attaching the required documents and forms.
3. The funding statement section must indicate the program's support in the following specific format:

17.These regulations are subject to the systems and regulations applied at the university, and the disbursement of the support amount is linked to the extent to which the university provides the necessary financial liquidity for the program's budget.
