His Excellency the President of Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud Islamic University, Prof. Ahmad S. Al-Aameri, inaugurated the platform of "Intellectual Property Rights" on Tuesday, 30th of April, 2024 at the Office of His Excellency the President of the University, in the presence of a number of leaders and officials of the University. This inauguration comes in conjunction with the University's celebration of World Intellectual Property Day.

For her part, the president of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Dr. Sawsan A. Al-Momen explained that the initiative of the platform "Intellectual Property Rights" is one of the initiatives of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center which is associated with the university's 2025 strategy, which aims to enable the university's employees to submit applications for the preservation of intellectual property rights through an online platform; including applications for the filing and registration of patents, integrated circuits, and industrial models. Dr. Al-Momen stated that the initiative team worked on planning the design of the platform, making use of Saudi Intellectual Property Authority (SIPA) forms and registration requirements in the U.S. Office (USPTO), working with the Deanship of Information Technology and e-Learning to design and build the platform. She added that the initiative was established in three phases, with its scope of work was expanded and its requirements completed in the third phase.

Dr. Al-Momen extended her thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the president of the university for his continuous support for the success of the work of the Center in general, and this initiative in particular. She also thanked the work teams.
