Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University has achieved a new institutional milestone by obtaining the Institutional Readiness Medal, at the conclusion of its participation in the "Sixth Health Innovation Hackathon" on Monday, February 9, 2026 at the headquarters of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. This award affirms the university's excellence in qualifying its students in innovative fields and raising their level of readiness for the future, by applying the best institutional practices, and enhancing its readiness in managing innovative initiatives. It also highlights the university's role in empowering the national competencies to develop high-quality health solutions that contribute to achieving national development goals, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.

The medal was presented during the closing ceremony of the Hackathon, where it was received by His Excellency the Vice president for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Nayef M. Al-Otaibi, in the presence of the director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Dr. Yazeed M. Al-Khuraija, and the participating students, their academic supervisors and the Center's staff.

This recognition is a result of the culmination of a well-established institutional approach adopted by the university in supporting and empowering innovators through providing an incubating and stimulating environment, quality business acceleration programs, specialized guidance, integrated technical and technological support, and facilitating intellectual property protection procedures. In addition, IMSIU is building strategic partnerships that contribute to transforming ideas into sustainable projects and products with an economic and knowledge impact, in a way that enhances student competitiveness and consolidates the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The university's participation in the Sixth Health Innovation Hackathon is an extension of its ongoing efforts to support innovation in the health sector, create a stimulating environment for creativity, and strengthen partnerships with relevant stakeholders, thereby enhancing the impact of innovation at both institutional and societal levels.
