Dr. Mohammed Al-Alam, the Vice-President for Knowledge Exchange and International Communication, praised the Supreme Jurisdiction Institute for organizing the International Conference on Judiciary and Arbitration. He emphasized the importance of the conference in asserting justice and equality among society members.
Dr. Al-Alam said: “The conference is a great opportunity for specialists to demonstrate expertise in judiciary, which indeed will enhance the knowledge of experts and researchers’. He admired the inclusiveness of the conference’ sessions, which covered international judiciary and arbitration, judiciary and arbitration in Sharia and law perspective, applicable law in judiciary and arbitration, and development prospects of the judiciary and arbitration mechanisms. He also highlighted the importance of the conference proposals and recommendations in order to solve any issue that can exist due to the rapid increase of population and economic growth.
Dr. Al-Alam also admired the noticeable progress of the Saudi courts in terms of systems and mechanism of justice, which aim to minimize the total independence on judiciary, and appeal to arbitration instead.
Eventually, Dr. Al-Alam thanked His Excellency, Dr. Fawzan Al-Fawzn, the Acting Rector of Al-Imam University, the Dean of the Supreme Jurisdiction Institute, the participants, and all committees’ members for their efforts in the conference.
