Purpose To outline the governing policies that will assure meeting the expectations of Al Imam college of medicine stakeholders as well as ensuring open and honest communications to foster trust and cooperation among Al Imam COM stakeholders. Policy Al Imam COM values beliefs and specifies the importance of meeting the changing expectations of the college and the stakeholders, and encourages the kind of open, honest communication that fosters trust and cooperation. 1. Establish and disclose a written code of conduct with legal and other obligations to legitimate stakeholders.

 2. Audit and risk committee has to ensure that corrective action is taken or recommended in order to adequately resolve the issue in case the stakeholders' rights are violated.

3. All Al Imam COM employees are ensured of their rights and responsibilities through a legal contract and all the employees has to agree in a contract with the institution upon employment.

 4. All Al Imam COM students have to sign in a contract with the institution upon admission to the program which ensures their rights and specifies their obligation.

5. Community service is one of the strategic directions derived from the institutional mission and implementing this by developing annual community service plans.

1. Identify the key stakeholders and maintain continuous contact with these parties and ensure that they are well informed about the institutions mode of operation and activities.

Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic university recognizes that protecting its assets, operational processes and services is a major responsibility in safeguarding the interests of its stakeholders. as part of the national initiative to automate and provide access services to its students, faculty and staff, the university is seeking to develop a viable plan for the continuation and recovery of its electronic services (e-services) in the event of disasters.

Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic university is committed to continuing to support its efforts to follow up and restore work in alternative facilities in the event of sudden interruption of business, and the university and its senior departments are committed to maintaining and developing a viable continuity and restoration plan that is in line with compliant insurance and ethical practices and consistent with the provisions and directions of the university's strategic and tactical plans. this plan will also support the university's philosophy of providing and maintaining the highest quality of services for its students, faculty and staff.

The it deanship was established in 1430 to manage the university's technical operations and electronic services.

The it deanship's vision is to "enable imam mohammed bin saud islamic university to be a leader in electronic services by creating an integrated and distinct it environment."

The deanship's letter states, "improving the services provided by the university and providing a high-quality electronic services environment based on ict in accordance with saudi arabia's strategies in activating the concept of e-government in all pillars of public universities."

The main objectives of the it deanship are:

The purpose of this policy is to determine the objective, scope and basic rules for managing business continuity.

This policy is applied to the entire business continuity management system.

The users of this document are all it deanship staff at imam mohammed bin saud islamic university in riyadh, as well as all suppliers and external contracting staff who have a role in the business continuity management system.

Policy:

The it deanship of imam mohammed bin saud islamic university plays a key role in providing stakeholders and university staff as well as internal deans and departments with the best it services in its class and specialized solutions, as well as efficiently managing available resources.

As such, the it pillar recognizes and is fully committed to providing continuous service to its customers and to protecting the interests of stakeholders that collectively ensure that it is able to develop and grow. the it deanship is also committed to fulfilling all applicable legal and regulatory obligations and statutory requirements, as well as directives issued by the relevant official government bodies.

This policy is based on the "business continuity management standard and guidelines" issued by iso 22301 - community security - business continuity management system - requirements.

This policy is published among all staff at the it deanship at imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic university in Riyadh. All members of the deanship community must respond and adhere to this policy within the framework of what applies to them. Each department/sector/department has responsibility for its willingness to manage business continuity at all times.

The Deanship of Information Technology has been established in 1430 to manage the technology and e-services at the university.          

The vision of the Deanship of IT is “to enable Al Imam University to be the pioneer in the field of electronic services through the creation of a distinct integrated environment for information technology"

Users of this document are all employees of Deanship of Information Technology at Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University Riyadh, as well as all suppliers and outsourcing partners who have a role in the BCMS.         

Policy Statement

The Deanship of Information Technology at Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University Riyadh plays a fundamental role in providing Stakeholders and staff of the university as well as internal deanships and departments with the best-in-class information technology services and specialized solutions as well as managing available resources efficiently.           
Being at this position, the Deanship of Information Technology recognizes, and is fully committed to provide a continuous service to its' customers and to protect the interests of stakeholders that collectively ensure the viability of the Deanship of Information Technology. Deanship of Information Technology is also committed to meeting all applicable legal and regulatory obligations, Federal requirements as well as directives from concerned official government bodies.

Therefore, as an integral part of the business, Deanship of Information Technology adopts the following reactive and proactive approaches to minimize the effects of any major incident:
• Create & maintain risk and impact analysis program and an aligned business continuity program.
• Develop business recovery strategies and plans to mitigate major risks.
• Make business continuity and disaster recovery (DR) planning a constituent part of all existing and new business requirements specifications.
• Provide the requirements for policies that will require third party suppliers of services to have suitable and tested contingency or recovery strategies in place.
• Develop critical business applications to employ systems architectures which provide for continuous operation under primary system failure.
• Prepare testing and audit plans, and conduct rehearsals to provide confidence that people are aware of their roles, and the processes to deliver their objectives.
• Continually improve the suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the business continuity management system.
This policy is based on the “Business Continuity Management standard and guide" issued by the “International Organization for Standardization" ISO 22301 - Societal Security – Business Continuity Management System – Requirements.
This policy shall be communicated to all employees of the Deanship of Information Technology at Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University Riyadh. All individuals in the Deanship must comply with this policy as applicable to them. Each directorate/sector/department is responsible for its own BCM preparedness at all times.
This policy shall be reviewed for continuous suitability on an annual basis & when significant changes occur.

The university's agency for business development and investment is an agency at imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic university and the university agency for business development and investment is one of the important pillars that help the university succeed in achieving its goals, and carry out its main function, which is the development and investment of the university and its own resources, and the university agency for business development and investment is keen to establish the work professionally institutionally that promotes the culture of working in the spirit of one team, and promotes the serious pursuit of creativity, development and      investment.
The agency is also based on achieving the requirements and criteria for academic accreditation in relation to the investment process and achieving the university's financial returns in accordance with basic standards. in general, the university's business and investment development agency is focusing its efforts on achieving the university's higher goals.​

Upon an invitation from Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Moqbel, Dean of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Deanship for Academic Research, the Deanship has arranged recently an expanded meeting with all vice-Deans of the colleges for higher studies and academic research and heads of the research centres inside the university.

In significance with the meeting, Dr. Al-Moqbel has discussed with all attendants the latest updates about the Program of Financing Research Projects, the Academic Research Portal, in addition to another urgent issues.

It is noteworthy that, the Academic Research Portal is one of the initiatives of Al-Imam University in Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Transformation Program 2020. It aims to automating all paper transactions inside the deanship and digitizing it entirely, as it targeting faculty staff members, undergraduate and postgraduate students from inside and outside the university.
