​ ​         Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University is participating in the first session of the Saudi Drone and Artificial Intelligence in the Agricultural Field Exhibition "SADAF", which is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture under the slogan "Integration between drones and artificial intelligence", with the support of the International Drone Federation, and lasts for three days at The Arena Riyadh Exhibition and Events Center.

The university's participation in the exhibition, which is a platform to discuss and share the latest research, experiences and technological developments that enable institutions to lead a new world of digital transformation, comes through a group of its students in the Colleges of Engineering and the College of Computer and Information Technology.

The exhibition included the presentation of a group of innovative research projects that reflect the university's leadership in the field of artificial intelligence, the most prominent of which were the "passive radar for drone exploration" project, the "smart watch" project that was fully developed within the university, in addition to the "smart classroom" project.

The university's participation in the exhibition included the presentation of a number of scientific papers that dealt with advanced topics in artificial intelligence and drone applications, and these presentations constituted an ideal platform for exchanging experiences between researchers and representatives of government agencies and companies, which enhanced scientific interaction between the participating entities and university students.

The university participates in such exhibitions to confirm its leading role and highlight its excellence in the scientific and research aspects and highlight part of its scientific output, future vision, strategic plan, and its most important programs, systems and learning tools that depend on communication technology, artificial intelligence and modern technologies, and to discuss the possibility of building positive relationships, which contributes to the development of the educational environment and the development of its outputs, to achieve the goals of Vision 2024.

       Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, represented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, is participating in the Biban Forum 2024, which will be held at the Riyadh Front Center for Exhibitions and Conferences during the period 5-9 November 2024, which aims to enhance the growth of entrepreneurs' projects and their competitiveness, build communication, enrich young people with entrepreneurial ideas, and raise the contribution of small and medium enterprises to the GDP.

The university's participation, which was in the presence of the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Nayef bin Muhammad Al-Otaibi, comes through the provision of specialized training workshops, designed to enhance the skills of participants in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.

news_5_11_2024_04_d3de3f.jpgThe Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center presented two workshops entitled: "Innovative Design for an Entrepreneur's Project", which focuses on guiding novice entrepreneurs on how to develop innovative ideas and turn them into entrepreneurial projects capable of achieving success and sustainability, and presenting the most important tools and methods necessary to design projects in line with market needs.

The second workshop is entitled: "The Concept of Creative Industries and their Fields" and deals with introducing the concept of creative industries and their importance, identifying the requirements necessary to move towards creative industries, and determining the orientation towards creative industries projects.

The participation also includes various presentations by entrepreneurs and innovators to showcase their successful experiences on Tuesday and Wednesday 5-6 November 2024.

The head of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, who supervises the university's participation in the forum, Dr. Sawsan bint Abdul Karim Al-Momen, indicated that the university's participation comes through the participation of a number of startups incubated in the business incubator of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University "The Imam Cloud", which was distinguished by its innovative ideas according to various fields, including the "Riwash" project, which is an environmentally friendly application, through its services provided and for car care, and the application allows customers to request the service from anywhere.

Dr. Al-Momen added that among the participations presented in the exhibition is the "Sniper" project, which is a platform. Open Financial Banking, which provides investors in the Saudi market with the ability to manage their investment portfolios and execute buy and sell orders from one place easily and flexibly.

Dr. Al-Momen pointed out that the university is also participating in the "Pleelectric" project, which provides a unique driving experience for electric bicycles, which combines sports and entertainment and allows users to travel longer distances with less effort, and the university's participation in the exhibition is through the "Electricity Heroes Foundation" project, and Dr. Al-Momen stressed that it is one of the leading participations in its field, as this participation provides smart solutions for electrical services for individuals and companies, and provides an electronic platform to book services and maintenance easily. The university is also participating in the "Elite Academy" project, which provides advanced tools to customize the educational experience and provide consultations and training courses for students for placement tests, noting at the same time the university's participation in the "Darnet" project, which is a daily and monthly apartment rental platform that connects travelers with hosts to facilitate flexible house rental, in addition to the "Eagle" project, which provides integrated solutions for the tourism sector to facilitate the domestic tourism experience and develop tourist guidance services in the Kingdom.

Dr. Al-Momen stressed that the university's participation in Biban Forum 2024 comes within the framework of the university's responsibility towards supporting, strengthening and encouraging the innovation and entrepreneurship system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in general, and the university in particular, based on its strategic goal aimed at generating innovative and pioneering outputs that enhance the knowledge economy and achieve sustainable development, in line with the ambitious national vision 2030.

      Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University received the Excellence Award in Spending Efficiency and Upgrading Government Projects during the Spending Efficiency Forum organized by the Expenditure Efficiency and Government Projects Authority (Expro) in the period 11-12/11/2024, at the Riyadh Hilton Hotel.

The university received the award in the announcement of the forum for the winners today, Tuesday, by obtaining the full score since the second quarter of 2023 until now in compliance assessments, completion of mobilization, size of opportunities, clarity of opportunities and the mechanism for calculating them, implementation and speed of achievement, in addition to the university's presentation through the Expro platform of a number of initiatives for spending efficiency, and 4 initiatives were documented as realized spending efficiency opportunities, represented in the initiative to cancel some capital projects, the initiative to renew spare parts, and the initiative to rationalize electricity consumption, And the initiative to reduce the expenses of renting real estate, buildings and land, which made the spending efficiency team achieve excellence among the teams of distinguished government agencies in the third quarter of 2023.

The award aims to shed light on the journey of spending efficiency by exchanging knowledge on the best ways to achieve spending efficiency, improve the quality of government projects, assets, facilities and procurement, and allow for more ideas and promote innovation, and open new horizons for effective cooperation, and a review of sustainable methodologies and solutions in government agencies.

The university was represented in receiving the award by the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Human Resources, Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Abdul Karim Al-Basir, who expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Ameri, for his support and guidance, which resulted in achieving this achievement, praising the great role and efforts provided by the Spending Efficiency Team headed by the Vice President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mansour bin Abdulrahman Al-Haidari and the rest of the members who worked to achieve this excellence at the university in accordance with quality standards.

 ​The university participates in the exhibition through the latest academic programs and applied initiatives in the field of aviation management, qualifying human cadres in aviation management, in addition to enhancing professional and technical skills using information technology in the air transport industry and raising awareness of aviation security.​

The CEO of the Applied College, Dr. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Salloum, stressed the importance of this participation to present the university's modern educational programs, local and international partnerships, and professional certificates in the field of aviation, and these programs come in the university's priorities based on the directives of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Ameri. Dr. Al-Salloum said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia competes to take the leading role in various fields, including the field of aviation, which enjoys rapid growth and attracts global investors, and Dr. Al-Salloum said: The university, represented by its strategies, units and departments, came to participate in this leading role through specialized educational programs, such as aviation management, ground services, energy engineering, and the like, in addition to caring for qualifying graduates with the highest characteristics, skills and knowledge that contribute to accelerating and diversifying industrial development in the Kingdom.

 

The Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Noha bint Mohammed Al-Shugairan, indicated that the college's participation in the Aviation Management Diploma Program in this exhibition is an important step in enhancing the college's role to develop specialized human competencies, which the university administration pays great attention to represented by His Excellency the President of the University, as part of the university's vision to pay attention to qualifying its graduates, developing their skills and preparing them for practical life.

 

Through this participation, the university aims to highlight the aviation management diploma program and enhance cooperation with the relevant authorities in the sector, which contributes to preparing qualified cadres to support development in the field of aviation and air transport, which enhances economic growth and serves the needs of the local and regional labor market through the exhibition, which is an ideal platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge between pioneers The sector is one of airport operators and ambitious entrepreneurs, and benefit from seminars that bring together those interested in the Saudi aviation sector.​
