People of Determination
IMAMU University, named after Imam Muhammad ibn Saud, stands as a beacon of inclusivity and support for people of determination, also known as individuals with disabilities. At IMAMU University, the commitment to supporting people of determination goes beyond mere rhetoric; it is ingrained in the institution's culture and reflected in its policies, programs, and infrastructure. The university understands that each student has unique needs, and thus, it has implemented a range of services and facilities to ensure that these needs are met effectively.
One of the key pillars of support at IMAMU University is its comprehensive disability services office. Staffed with knowledgeable professionals, this office serves as a central point of contact for students with disabilities, offering guidance, advocacy, and assistance throughout their academic journey. Whether it's arranging accommodations for classes and exams, providing assistive technology, or offering counseling and mentoring, the disability services office is dedicated to empowering students to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
In addition to specialized support services, IMAMU University has invested in creating an accessible campus environment. Wheelchair ramps, elevators, and designated parking spaces ensure that the university is physically accessible to all. Moreover, classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and other facilities are equipped with features such as adjustable desks, Braille signage, and audiovisual aids to accommodate diverse learning needs.

Center for People with Special Needs
The center was established:
Under the guidance of His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Suleiman bin Abdullah Aba Al Khail. The University's Special Needs Services Center was established in 1429 AH.
Center Council:
His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr., agreed. Suleiman bin Abdullah Aba Al Khail, to form a council for the Center for People with Special Needs as follows: -
· His Excellency the University President President.
· University Vice Dean Vice President.
· Dean of Student Affairs A member.
· Dean of Admission and Registration A member.
· Dean of the College of Social Sciences A member.
· Dean of the Female Students Study Center A member.
· Consultant and supervisor of technical affairs A member.
· Director of the University Safety and Security Department A member.
· Two students with special needs
· Director of university housing Secretary of the committee.
The Council is responsible for drawing up general policy in the field of serving people with special needs and organizing their affairs at the university, including:
- Issuing the necessary regulations and decisions to implement what concerns people with special needs at the university.
- Follow up on the implementation of the system for caring for the disabled issued by the Royal Decree and its regulations, and follow up on the implementation of what is related to the affairs of the disabled at the university.
- Coordination between various governmental and private agencies regarding services provided to persons with disabilities.
- Encouraging scientific research in the field of serving people with special needs.
- Encouraging institutions and individuals to establish special programs, associations and charitable institutions to care for university students with special needs and search for suitable job opportunities for them.
- Study the quarterly reports issued by the subcommittees in the relevant supporting colleges and deanships regarding what has been accomplished in the areas of services provided to this category, and take the necessary action regarding them.
- Issuing a list accepting donations, gifts, wills and endowments.
- Issuing work rules for subcommittees in colleges.
- Issuing an internal bylaw to organize the work procedures of the Council.
- Approval of subcommittees in colleges and supporting deanships.
Overcoming all obstacles and challenges that stand in the way of people with special needs at the university stage by meeting their individual needs and providing educational support and advice.
Employing all available human and material capabilities to meet the needs of male and female students with special needs in university education and providing specialized programs in care, rehabilitation, and public awareness.
Center tasks:
1. Providing guidance, guidance, academic and preventive support to male and female students with special needs.
2. Create a database for male and female students with special needs.
3. Creating an educational environment and introducing appropriate modifications for people with special needs.
4. Coordination with university departments, deanships and colleges to serve male and female students with special needs.
5. Raising public awareness and introducing people to disability, its characteristics, and ways to deal with it.
6. Contributing to studies and research that contribute to developing the center and supporting it with regard to people with special needs.
7. Benefit from local, Arab and international experiences in the field of services provided to people with special needs.
8. Working to activate and participate with people with special needs in cultural and sports activities at the university and outside it.
9. Issuing periodic reports on the center's work in the field of serving people with special needs.
Center objectives:
1. Introducing the services of the Center for People with Special Needs.
2. Defining the concept of disability and ways to deal with it.
3. Preparing and implementing counselling and guidance programs for male and female students with special needs.
4. Collecting information and data for male and female students with special needs.
5. Activating the integration of people with special needs into cultural and sports activities.
6. Participation in regular events for people with special needs.
