The Faculty of Continuing Education and Community Service implements specialized community education and training programs designed according to high scientific and professional standards that include knowledge and skills that are in line with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030.
The College seeks to develop new educational programs that keep pace with the requirements and needs of the labor market in oversight and integrity, human resources management, quality management, medical secretarial, smart internet systems, governance and public policies.

Genesis:

The Faculty of Continuing Education and Community Service was established in 1405 under the name of Deanship of the University Center for Community Service and Continuing Education. Since its inception, it has sought to enhance the university's contribution to achieving one of the university's most important functions by serving the community and its members at all levels and meeting their different needs and interests.

Change the title, vision and goals:

In 1441, the Interim Committee for Higher Education, headed by His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sheikh, approved a new structure for Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University, which included changing the name of the Deanship of the University Center for Community Service and Continuing Education to the Faculty of Continuing Education and Community Service, to complete its long history with a number of achievements and results, and was able to enjoy the confidence of many members of the community and governmental and civil institutions. The College has ambitious plans and diverse initiatives to continue its distinguished career in serving the community and meeting its needs, led by a distinct vision, a clear message and specific goals based on the university's mission, objectives and vision.

Goals, programs and aspirations:

The college aims to connect the university with the community by establishing continuous communication with all its institutions and sectors to achieve the university's active participation in the development process in the Kingdom, developing continuing education programs and serving the community, keeping up with the latest educational and professional sciences and techniques, linking university experiences and knowledge to the scientific and practical life of the individual and helping him to employ the experiences and knowledge gained in increasing his productivity.

Since the launch of imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University's strategic plan 2021-2025, the most important goal has been quality and leadership in education, so the Faculty of Continuing Education and Community Service has developed its goals to match the university's aspirations and objectives. In its objectives, programs and community activities, the College is directly linked to the strategic themes and objectives of the University's plan, specifically in:

The first is teaching, learning and defamation.

The second focus is: ​"Partnerships and community responsibility.

The first strategic objective: competitive educational outcomes that are knowledgeably qualified and knowledgeable to meet the needs of the labour market.

The fourth strategic objective is effective community and national partnerships and contributions.

The College also implements many specialized and distinguished educational, training and community programs that are carefully designed according to high scientific and professional standards including knowledge and skills that are in line with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030, and the requirements of national development to meet the needs of the labor market, where the College has established a number of specialized educational programs in a variety of fields accredited by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and ranges from one to two years depending on specialization, and includes two categories:

Category 1: Intermediate diploma programs for high school diploma holders or their equivalent.

Category 2: Higher Diploma Program for Undergraduate Degree Holders.

The implementation and management of these programs is based on two scientific departments of the College:

·       the Department of Applied Sciences,

·       the Computer Diploma (Programming),

·       the Computer Diploma (Network Technology)

·       the Department of Humanities and Management, which include: Diploma of Law, Family Guidance Diploma, Business Diploma, Accounting Diploma, Marketing Diploma, Public Relations Diploma, English Diploma, Editorial Diploma and Secretarial.

New programs:

The College seeks to develop new educational programs that meet the requirements and needs of the labor market in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030 to be more professional and specialized in the various areas needed by all segments of society (in oversight and integrity, human resources management, quality management, medical secretarial, smart internet systems, governance and public policies), and other specialized quality and professional programs that will be launched soon, God willing.

Software sections provided:

The programs offered at the college are divided into three sections:

·       Training programmes for members of Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University (faculty, members of the governing body, students)

·       Training programmes for government agencies and ngos.

·       General training programmes for all segments of society.

 Training programmes include various areas:

intellectual security, cybersecurity, quality, education and scientific research, as well as legal, administrative, technical, financial and other areas, and the duration of training courses varies from long training courses to eight weeks, and short training courses of a few hours or days. The College is also currently working on several specialized training programmes to meet the needs of the labour market, job requirements, and provide professional and professional certificates in coordination and cooperation with its donors.

Effective partnerships:

The Faculty of Continuing Education and Community Service promotes active partnerships in community service and community responsibility to contribute to high quality outcomes, reach a conscious and educated society, active national arms in building society, promote career performance at home and abroad, and invest its human and material resources while serving society and contributing to solving its problems. The College has concluded multiple partnerships and agreements with a number of entities within and outside the university, as well as the College's participation in national events and international events to raise national awareness and promote social communication.
