The Research Center at the College of Science was established in the academic year 1433/1434 H after it was a scientific research unit since the academic year 1431/1432 AH. It aims to achieve leadership in scientific research and for the center to have a clear imprint in promoting scientific research in the college and the university and providing distinguished services at the level of research centers to all faculty members in the college, and this is achieved by providing research services at a high level for researchers and supporting researchers from faculty members and graduate students for each This facilitates scientific research procedures.  As well as urging, encouraging, and activating the movement of scientific research in the college and providing various scientific assistance and services necessary for workers in the field of scientific research and following up on ongoing research in the departments of the college.​

Our Mission

Providing a distinguished research environment in the fields of science to develop scientific competencies, by supporting researchers from faculty members and graduate students. Opening new horizons and cooperation in scientific research with  different disciplines  inside  university and other  university to contribute to increasing scientific production that meets the requirements of development.

 

Our Objectives ​

·       Linking scientific research to the university's objectives and development plans in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

·       Contribute to the preparation of strategic and interim plans for scientific research at the university.

·       Implementation of the programs and projects related to the college included in the strategic and interim plans for scientific research at the university.

·       Emphasizing the scientific principles of research and keenness to prepare a generation of researchers experienced in sober scientific research.

·       Taking care of collective scientific research through the formation of research teams or participation in scientific units or committees concerned with preparing research implemented according to a timetable through scientific cooperation between professors from inside and outside the college.

·       Avoiding duplication and repetition and trying hard to benefit from previous studies and research.

·       Encouraging the preparation of research related to the college's specializations and interests and achieving its objectives.

·       Serious follow-up of the scientific research movement in the world to identify its plans and programs that benefit scientific research issues in the college.

·       Supervising the affairs of scientific research in the college.

·       Proposing policies, developing plans and setting priorities in the field of scientific research in the college.

·       Coordination between the authorities concerned with scientific research inside and outside the college.

·       Providing ways to support researchers in the college and develop their research capabilities.

·       Facilitate ways of cooperation and integration in the field of scientific research between the scientific departments in the college.

·       Facilitate the communication of faculty members in the college with the Deanship of Scientific Research.

·       Achieving integration in the field of scientific research between the various research units and research centers within the university.

·       Regulation of the purchase and use of scientific instruments.
