 Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, represented by the College of Social Sciences, concluded today, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the virtual international conference “The Mutual Impact between Social and Human Sciences and Digital Technologies”, which was held under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Amri, and lasted for two days, and issued a statement that focuses on promoting integration between the humanities and modern technologies, and maximizing the impact of scientific research in serving society and the nation.


     The statement read by the Dean of the College of Social Sciences and Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee, Dr. Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Muharib, included scientific recommendations made by the conference participants that symbolize the importance of establishing specialized scientific centers for the study of digital social sciences, developing modern scientific tools and methods that link human knowledge with digital technologies, and developing innovative digital programs and initiatives to document and preserve cultural and linguistic heritage using the latest technologies.


     The recommendations also emphasized the need to establish clear ethical controls and standards for the responsible use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in scientific research, in order to preserve intellectual property rights and ensure integrity and accuracy in the collection, analysis and dissemination of data and research outputs; to integrate digital skills into academic curricula at all levels of undergraduate and postgraduate education to ensure that students and researchers can effectively utilize modern technological tools in their scientific work; and to encourage social and research studies on financial inclusion and digital transformation in economic services, to understand their impact on quality of life and promote social and economic justice.


     The conference participants expressed their thanks and deep gratitude to His Excellency the President of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, Professor Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Amri, for sponsoring the conference proceedings, his constant support, and his interest in enhancing the university’s position in serving scientific research and contemporary societal issues. The statement also thanked the university’s vice presidents for their continuous follow-up on the various stages of preparation and organization, and their keenness to ensure that the conference appeared in a manner befitting the university’s academic and scientific standing. 

     The statement praised the supervisory, scientific, technical and media committees whose sincere efforts and organized work played the biggest role in the success of this conference and the achievement of its scientific goals.


The final statement and recommendations read as follows:


     "Praise be to God, by whose grace good deeds are accomplished, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and companions, all of them."

In concluding this international scientific conference entitled “The Interrelationship Between Social Sciences, Humanities, and Digital Technologies,” I am pleased to express my deepest gratitude to His Excellency the President of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, Professor Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Amri, for his generous patronage and unwavering support of this conference, and for his commitment to enhancing the university’s role in serving scientific research and addressing contemporary societal issues. I also extend my sincere thanks to the university’s vice presidents for their continuous oversight of the various stages of preparation and organization, and for their dedication to ensuring that the conference reflects the university’s esteemed academic and scientific standing.

     I would also like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to the supervisory, scientific, technical, and media committees, whose dedicated efforts and organized work played a major role in the success of this conference and the achievement of its scientific objectives. These committees demonstrated a high level of competence and coordination, contributing to the conference's outstanding success and reflecting the spirit of teamwork and institutional work within the university.


     I also extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to all the researchers who participated with their scholarly papers and insightful contributions, which added significant depth of knowledge to the conference sessions and contributed to building a comprehensive scientific vision regarding the interaction between the social sciences, humanities, and digital technologies. Their contributions were a model of rigor and scholarly commitment.

     Thanks are due to the distinguished attendees, including professors, students, researchers, and interested individuals, whose interaction and contributions helped enrich the scientific discussions and deepen the dialogue on the issues addressed by the conference.


     Over two consecutive days, November 24th and 25th, 2025, the conference featured eight scientific sessions addressing diverse topics centered around artificial intelligence and its ethics, digital transformation in education and scientific research, cultural identity in the digital environment, and the social and value-based shifts brought about by modern technologies. The sessions were rich in dialogue, comprehensive in their presentations, and reflective of the need for greater integration between human knowledge and technology in our Arab societies.


     Based on the discussions and debates held during the sessions, the scientific committee formulated a set of recommendations representing a future vision for developing scientific research and enhancing integration between the social sciences, humanities, and digital technologies in the Arab world. Among the most prominent of these recommendations are:

1. Establishing specialized scientific centers for digital social science studies that are concerned with following up on research and technological developments, and work on developing research tools and methods that link the humanities with modern technology.

2. Developing digital programs and initiatives to document cultural heritage using modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence and augmented reality, in order to contribute to preserving and promoting cultural and linguistic heritage among new generations.

3. Employing artificial intelligence to transfer culture and knowledge to future generations by designing educational and interactive platforms that mimic heritage and social values, and contribute to building a balanced cultural awareness among young people.

4. Establishing ethical controls and standards for the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in scientific research, ensuring respect for intellectual property, the accuracy of data and its sources, and maintaining integrity and transparency in all stages of preparing, analyzing, and publishing results.

5. Integrating digital skills into academic curricula in universities and postgraduate studies; to ensure that students and researchers are able to use modern technological tools effectively in their scientific work.

6. Encouraging social studies on financial inclusion and digital transformation in economic services; to understand their impact on improving quality of life and promoting social and economic justice.

7. Conduct scientific studies on the impact of the digital environment on children and adolescents to understand its implications for their behavior and mental and psychological health, and to provide practical scientific solutions to deal with the challenges associated with the excessive use of technology.

8. Developing researchers’ abilities to analyze digital data through training courses and workshops specializing in dealing with big databases and modern analytical tools.

9. To promote scientific cooperation between universities and research institutions at the local and international levels, to exchange experiences and successful practices in the fields of digital and social studies.

10. Focusing on developing digital education by building interactive learning environments that use modern technologies in positive ways that promote critical thinking and creativity among learners.

11. Employing artificial intelligence techniques in scientific research to improve the quality of results and the accuracy of analysis, while establishing clear ethical controls that ensure scientific integrity and protect authors’ rights from the illegal use of artificial intelligence outputs.

     In conclusion, on behalf of Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, represented by the College of Social Sciences, we announce the conclusion of the work of this scientific conference, asking God Almighty to grant success to all in what is good for science and the nation, and to make what has been achieved in this scientific meeting an effective step towards a future of greater awareness and integration between man and technology.
