Overview

The College of Social Sciences was established in 1396 AH. Before that, it was a department in the College of Arabic Language and Social Sciences. The college studies the sciences of history, Islamic civilization, geography, sociology, social service, psychology, the principles of education, curricula, teaching methods, educational administration, and special education. The college is keen to teach these sciences and specializations from an Islamic perspective, and in line with the university’s goals of ensuring that the student is connected to his faith, religion, and Arabic language, the student studies, in addition to social specializations, courses in the Qur’an, interpretation, hadith, Islamic culture, grammar, and Arabic texts. The college is proud of its graduates, who meet the country’s need for qualified teachers in scientific specializations who work in social, psychological, and educational institutions, libraries, and information centers.

The College of Social Sciences at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University is distinguished as one of the first colleges at Imam University. Many colleges and departments have graduated from this college, in addition to many prominent national scientific, research and leadership cadres in many fields. These are among the most important factors of strength in this prestigious college, in addition to the excellence of the cadres of this college from male and female faculty members, male and female employees, in addition to all the scientific outputs, programs, research, publications and community services that are growing and improving year after year.

We in this dear country are living in a historical transformation phase in all fields, and this college, with all its leaders and employees, feels this transformation and interacts with it in all departments of the college, which works to create or update its programs at the bachelor's, diploma, master's and doctoral levels, in order to achieve learning outcomes and outputs that keep pace with what is new in the world and the labor market. It has also, praise be to Allah, made great strides towards programmatic accreditation and complete technical transformation in all the college's dealings.

The college’s male and female students are the main goal that we feel responsible for and provide all educational, academic, and research services, programs, and activities that build a distinguished personality that participates effectively in serving the community and this great nation.
