Achievements of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics​
Until 2022-2023

  • Completion of the transformation plan for the three semesters of the department's four programs (Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics, Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics, Master of Science in Mathematics, Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics).
  • Developing the department's four programs according to the university's procedural guide for the development process within the future curricula for comprehensive development (Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics, Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics, Master of Science in Mathematics, Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics).
  • Graduated 722 (260 males and 462 females) holders of a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics since the beginning of the program.
  • Graduation of 40 (1 male and 39 female) Master of Science in Mathematics degree holders since the beginning of the program.
  • The end-of-program exam was completed for 45 students (22 males and 23 females) and the pass rate out of 50 was about 82.5% (82% for males and 83% for females).
  • The department's faculty members have received about 340 awards from the international publishing awards since its inception.
  • Completion of 10 research projects funded by the university related to the Corona pandemic, the results of which were published in journals classified in the web of science.
  • Promotion of several faculty members to the rank of professor and associate professor.
  • Several scholarships for males and females have obtained a doctorate degree and are appointed to the rank of assistant professor.
  • Organizing 6 lectures and scientific activities during the current academic year.
