The 5th seminar of the first semester is presented by Dr. Hisham Al-Hadlag at the Department of Physics

The Scientific Committee of the Department of Physics organized the 5th seminar - first semester 1437/1438 AH entitled: "Imaging and Spectroscopy of Biomaterials & Properties of Metal Nanoparticles".

Dr. Hisham Al-Hadlag, assistant professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at King Saud University and member of King Abdullah Institute for Nanotechnology, presented a seminar on December 6, 2016 at 11 AM, for half an hour. The presentation was followed by inquiries and comments from the audience.

Dr. Al-Hadlag started with an introduction about imaging and spectroscopy of biomaterials and their significance in diagnostic and treatment. Then, he discussed the latest developments in imaging, magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and visual light imaging for biomaterials and tissues. Then, a debate with faculty members and students of the department revolved around selection mechanism and the difficulties faced by researchers to find new samples suitable for several applications.

This seminar is one of a series of semimonthly seminars organized by the Scientific Committee in the Department of Physics and presented by the faculty in the department and researchers under the supervision of Dr. Ra'id Al-Hithlool, the head of the Scientific Committee, and organized in collaboration with Dr. Jaber Al-Gool, a member of the Scientific Committee. The symposium aims to inform all staff about the latest developments in physics fields.

It is worth mentioning that all university staff including faculty members, employees, and students are allowed to attend these seminars.
