The College of Science received a delegation from SABIC on Monday, 25/2/1437 AH, corresponding to 7/12/2015 AD. The delegation included researchers from SABIC Plastics Applications Development Center. The aim of the visit was to introduce SABIC Innovation Award, which targets a large portion of students or faculty members who are interested in sciences and research in plastic applications.

In addition, the delegation gave a presentation in the College Hall about the Award in a section especially prepared to introduce it, answered students' questions, and distributed some detailed brochures and commemorative gifts.

Moreover, Eng. Sulaiman Saleh Al-Mohaimeed, the researcher in SABIC Plastics Applications Development Center, expressed his contentment with the turnout of students and faculty members at SABIC section. He also made it clear that the aim of the visit was to raise awareness and provide information about the award, in addition to clarifying the award terms and conditions of participation and its mechanism.

H.E. Dr. Raed Al-Hathlool, Vice Dean of the College for Development and Quality, had a sidebar conversation with the delegation about collaboration frameworks between SABIC and the College. He also appreciated this introductory visit, which comes as a recognition of SABIC of the role of the College in Scientific Research supported by H.E. Dr. Muhammad Babtain, its Dean. Moreover, SABIC welcomed collaboration with the college to serve the domains of scientific research, as the College is considered as one of the leading colleges in scientific research within the University.
