The Scientific Committee in the Physics Department has organized the first seminar of the Department in the second semester of the academic year 1346/1347 AH, entitled:
" Study of Au/AZO/p-Si/Al photodiode based on AZO nanoparticles deposed by PLD technique."
Professor Lassaad El Mir kindly presented the seminar on Tuesday, 30/4/1437 AH, corresponding 9/11/2016 AD, for half an hour, starting from 11 a.m. The presentation was followed by some questions and comments from the audience.
The speaker started by explaining Photodiode and its optoelectronic uses, in addition to addressing basic phases of synthesizing such samples based on Sol-Gel method to grow Aluminium doped Zinc Oxide nanoparticles and use Pulsed Laser Deposition Technique. In addition, he presented the findings of examining synthesized samples by studying their structural and electrical properties. Some faculty members of the Department participated in the discussion about some points, including the practical side of how to synthesize this type of samples, in addition to the possibility of its uses in several applications.
This seminar is part of a series of weekly seminars held by the Scientific Committee in the Physics Department and presented by the Department faculty members and researchers from other research bodies. They aim at motivating scientific research environment in the Department and acquainting its staff with the latest news of physics sciences in various fields.
It is worth mentioning that attending these seminars is opened to all University staff and students.
