The Activity Unit of the College of Science at King Abdullah City for Female Students organized a Reception Ceremony for freshmen on Thursday morning, 12/28/1437 AH, corresponding to 09/29/2016 AD. The Ceremony began with reciting verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech by Dr. Shaimaa Muhammad Al-Juhani, the Head of Academic Advising Unit of the College of Science (Female Section). She started her speech by welcoming students, then she explained the importance of academic advising in the student's University life in many ways, including calculating the GPA, academic warnings, and receiving instructions about studying and testing systems at the University. She also clarified that the College cares about them and always seeks to help them. Finally, Al-Juhani encouraged students to work hard on their educational achievement, and prayed to Allah to grant them every success.

On the other hand, Ms. Nourah Al-Shahrani, from the Deanship of Library Affairs, gave a speech in which she explained the procedures of borrowing books from the library and all the services offered by the Deanship to the students.

The Deanship of Student Affairs, Counseling, and Student Rights participated in the Ceremony by distributing brochures to introduce their services.

Finally, the Ceremony was concluded by inviting students to breakfast, and then introductory portfolios, including everything concerning the University student, were distributed.
