The Department of Physics Continues the Academic Seminars Series with a Seminar by Dr. Zakia Fekkai

The Physics Department (Female Section) organized the 4th Seminar during the second semester of the academic year 1436/1437 AH, entitled:

"Light Emitting Diodes (LED) and Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED)."

Dr. Zakia Fekkai presented the Seminar on Tuesday, 06/27/1437 AH, corresponding to 04/05/2016 AD, at 09:15 a.m., for half an hour. It was followed by questions and discussions from the attendees.

Dr. Fekkai began the Seminar by giving an idea about the concept of  light emitting diodes and how they work, as well as the organic light emitting diodes (OLED) which manufactured using conjugated polymer. The Seminar also covered a comparison of the manufacturing, layers and operational mechanism of the diodes (OLED), and features. Faculty members and students of the Department were involved in the discussion regarding several points, including applications of OLED in our daily life.

This Seminar falls within a series of seminars held by the Physics Department and presented by faculty members in the Department and researchers from other research sectors. They aim at motivating scientific research environment in the Department and informing its members of the latest advances in physical sciences in various fields.

It is noteworthy to mention that attending these seminars is open to all University members, including female faculty and staff members and students.
